  California Partial Sales Tax Exemption Certificate

  A sales tax exemption certificate can be used by businesses (or in some cases, individuals) who are making purchases that are exempt from the California sales tax.   California exempts certain sales transactions from sales tax. Such transactions should be conducted while using this certificate, which should be stored after the transaction takes place. No other application or approval is needed to claim the exemption.
